Choosing an Insurance Plan - Everyone needs some type of health insurance. As a child with cancer you probably didn't have to worry about insurance or about how the bills were going to be paid. That was the responsibility of your parent(s) or guardian(s). As you reach adulthood, or as an adult, in addition to being a cancer survivor, you must deal with future or present employment and insurance issues. This section will provide you with information on what questions to ask when choosing an insurance plan and how to prepare yourself for coverage and employment.
Public Action - This is your chance to leverage impact and speak your mind. Let your U.S. Representative know your story with financial and insurance issues, what changes need to be made in health care, and why it is important that these changes be made. Your voice and story are important so let them be heard!
Personal Experiences - The experiences that a survivor encounters with insurance and financial issues can be valuable when shared with other survivors. When a survivor faces obstacles and adversity they can alleviate other survivors from having to deal with those same problems by educating them about their experience. This section allows for survivors to share their own experiences in hopes that they can provide assistance to other survivors.
