Choosing an Insurance Plan
Everyone needs some type of health insurance. As a child with cancer you probably didn't have to worry about insurance or about how the bills were going to be paid. That was the responsibility of your parent(s) or guardian(s). As you reach adulthood, or as an adult, in addition to being a cancer survivor, you must deal with future or present employment and insurance issues. This section will provide you with information on what questions to ask when choosing an insurance plan and how to prepare yourself for coverage and employment.
Your Medical Needs - Your experience with cancer may influence how you approach insurance coverage and employment . Because of your experience, particular issues need to be considered. It is important that you are aware of your medical needs and past medical records, in order to know how to best prepare yourself for coverage and employment.
Evaluating Insurance Coverage - When choosing an insurance policy or coverage it is important to know what questions to ask and what information you should be aware of.
