A little about me...

Hi! My name is Jeanine. I am 22 years old. I am a college student. Some of my hobbies and interests... swimming, photography, partcipating in beauty pageants, reading and acting.

Information about my illness...

In 1979, when I was 1 years old, I was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. I was treated at Touro Hospital in New Orleans. I had radiation, chemotherapy and surgery.

My words to others...

My suggestions to other survivors are... understand that everything we go through in life is a learning experience and it all happens for a reason.

The most important lesson I learned from my experience is... I have a unique quality that few people have and I have the ability to help people with this wisdom.

A positive outcome from my experience is... I realize that I can take nothing for granted, life is short but sweet and I plan to cherish every moment of it.
