A little about me...

Hi! My name is Robin nicole. I am 26 years old. I am I've returned to school to get a degree in nutrition. I am thinking about going to med school when I graduate. I also own a tiny little cookie company. Some of my hobbies and interests... include cooking, stamp collecting, movies and video games.

Information about my illness...

In 1988, when I was 14 years old, I was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. I was treated at Strong Memorial Children's Center, Rochester NY. I had radiation, chemotherapy and surgery.

My words to others...

My suggestions to other survivors are... We are a rare breed. I guess I never realized how rare until I tried to find others. In 11 years, I've only found people on the web, never any in person. Get out and share experiences with other kids. It helps them to see where they can be in 10 or 20 years.

The most important lesson I learned from my experience is... I don't need any more character building experiences in my life!

A positive outcome from my experience is... I went to the University affiliated with the hospital where I was treated, and met my husband there. I could not have asked for anything better than that.
