Samantha

" Live each day, leaving a memory."

A little about me...

Hi! My name is Samantha. I am 18 years old. I am a shelver at the Menasha Public Library in the children's department and a student in 12th grade. Some of my hobbies and interests... hanging with my friends and watching movies.

Information about my illness...

In 1984, when I was 4 years old, I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. I was treated at UW-Children's Hospital (Madison). I had chemotherapy.

My words to others...

My suggestions to other survivors are... Live each day to the fullest and make sure you make God part of your life. Enjoy yourself. These are the good old days you're going to miss in the years ahead.

The most important lesson I learned from my experience is... My friends love me for who I am not for the disease I had. Also, God must have had a plan for me otherwise he could have let me die. I try to live out his word and spread the word of God around to others.

A positive outcome from my experience is... I have lived through it so I can tell others about my experience.

" Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. -Sir James Matthew Barrie For with God nothing is impossible. -Luke 1:37 . "
