" leave your footprints in the sands of time "

A little about me...

Hi! My name is Linda. I am 18 years old. I am High School student. Some of my hobbies and interests... Trumpet, piano, marching band, and volleyball.

Information about my illness...

In 1986, when I was 1 years old, I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. I was treated at St. Judes. I had radiation, chemotherapy, surgery and a bone marrow transplant.

My words to others...

My suggestions to other survivors are... Keep close to your family and friends cause you'll need them somedays.

The most important lesson I learned from my experience is... Trust in God, family, and friends. They'll always help when you need something. They are your world!

A positive outcome from my experience is... I am closer to my family, friends, and God. I've also learned how precious life really is and I made some new friends at the hospital, who have helped me a lot.

" Don't be scared to let others know what you went through. Wear you scars as a badge of courage and be proud of what you've acomplished. Beating cancer is a incredible acomplishment that is something to be incredibly proud of! I am!"
